This study aims to describe how beliefs and what things influence the community so that they still carry out not new pompong kenduri tradition for fishermen in Air Glubi Village, Bintan Pesisir District. research uses a qualitative method with descriptive approach. The results of this showed there were fishing communities Village did practice tradition. People who believe perform are influenced by historical story or past tragedy advice their parents. Moreover, affect don't traditions because ancestral traditions, developed ways thinking no legal sanctions. Thus, it is believed if performing will have good impact on lives but contrary, it, bad lives.
